Sorry about that. I clicked the button "ALL" members. It was me, Marsha that sent out that post. DISREGARD if you feel it doesn't pertain to you. My intentions were to send it to all HANS individuals....not specific groups. Individuals.
I'm thinking you might consider coming up with a catch-phrase that's more specific to actors. The current phrase "We are not successful until you are" is pretty generic and has nothing particular to do with acting. Surely there's enough talent within HAN to come up with something better.
Response from The HAT:
@ Roger Garrett, The catch phrase "We are not successful until you are" simply means there are many members of Hawaii's Film Industry that has been striving for years to have success within the film industry. Our job here @ HAN is to provide them with a platform that will help them on their journey to success. So with that being said we feel that HAN will not be successful until the members of Hawaii's Film Industry are achieving success from our efforts. If you are not striving for success for your career within Hawaii's Film Industry then that catch phrase won't apply to you.
Aloha Roger! I think you & I are each others FANS! Yeah for me!! :-) Are you a SAG member? If so, I'd sure appreciate you signing my petition so I can run for both Local Board Member & Convention Delegate. All I need is your email address so I can email you the petition to sign. Would you do that for me please? I need 15 signatures from SAG members. In Hope & Trust, Lynn McRee
Military Heroes, Old Salt’s & Naval Wives. Its reunion time.
Battleship, our Blockbuster film opens for the public this Friday, May 18th.
We plan to get together on Monday and discuss who got lines; who didn’t; who shined bright and tall and who ended up on the cutting room floor. No matter what, it was great fun and a great experience. Join us, talk story, reminisce and look toward the future. Everyone is welcome to join us. Battleship Cast, Crew, Spouses, friends, well wishers and wannabes. Lets chat about our Battleship experiences and see what each other is doing now. All are welcome. Come and talk to some of the actors who made the move from Background Extra to Principal actor. Get tips and advice from those who are moving up the ladder to success. We are asking several of the principal actors in Battleship to join us and answer questions and give advice to newcomers in this highly competitive film industry. We are asking Joji Yoshida to come. Joji was one of the few local actors who was chosen to go with the film’s stars to Baton Rouge Louisiana, to do two months more of shooting, after Battleship wrapped up in Honolulu. We are asking Don Daily and Phil Trifilo to come. Both of these men were promoted from to Background Extra to Cast and then appeared in the film with speaking parts.
J.J. Dolan’s is one block Makai of Beretania Street. There is parking across the street at Mark’s Garage, or at the parking garage on Beretania just past Nuuanu.
Thanks for the e-mail concerning Mixer Planning. We moved here in June and are not that familiar with many of the venues. But we recently had a very nice evening with visiting family at a place called Nico's Pier 38 located at 1133 N.Nimitz Hwy. phone number 808-540-1377 they have a web site at www.nicopier38.com , the evening we were there they had a really good trio performing island upbeat music. Not that expensive and the service was great. Also not bad for noise, just a thought.
Aloha from the decks of BB 63 Battleship Missouri.....
Why not contact Special Services of the USS MISSOURI MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION and have mixers on the fantail of the ship. We host many "Night Events" on our ship. Catering and tour guide services are available. Its way way cool to be on the ship at night.....455-1600 #3 on the directory. My name is Marc David Weintraub, I'm a HAN member AND a tour guide on the ship.....

Hi Roger, I would like to be on the committee to handle the work that's involved in setting up the Mixers. I think it would be fun to get involved.
