Aloha! My name is Jess Bryden. For the past decade I have worked in Los Angeles as an editor, director and visual effects supervisor on countless films and television productions. I moved to Oahu last year to pursue writing and directing a feature film called “Spirit of Fire”. The movie is a tragic Romeo and Juliet style romance set in South America during a civil war.
Having finished a year of writing and pre-production, I am shooting a low-budget trailer and several complete scenes to help facilitate the sale of the film, after which time I will be returning here to film the complete feature.
Here is a link to my demo reel if you would like to check out some of my previous work:

I am holding auditions on Monday, Aug 1st, from 9AM to 5PM at the YMCA in Honolulu at the following address:
1441 Pali Highway
Honolulu, 96813
The film shoot is scheduled for August 10th-14th.
I would be honored if you would come and read for the part of:
Naiya Cervantes – (20-35, Female) Naiya is young, beautiful, gentle, intelligent and caring. She is the female lead in the movie and the daughter of the dictator president, Achéro Cervantes. She is vehemently against the way her father runs the country and has made it her mission to make him see the error in his ways. When she meets Mateo, a member of the guerilla army that is fighting against her father, she falls in love and everything changes. Her connection to Mateo soon proves dangerous and she finds herself at the center of the country’s civil war.
I look forward to meeting you in person.

My name is Lilah and I am the 2nd Assistant Director for Brass Knuckle Ballad, a local independent short movie currently in production. We are urgently looking for extras for this weekend, 5/22 and 5/23. We are looking for Asian females to portray attractive Japanese hostesses. The call time is 5pm, the location is at a mansion in Nu'uanu. Please email me at bkbextras@gmail.com ASAP if you are interested in being in the movie.
Extras will not receive monetary compensation so this is volunteer work. All extras will be recognized in the credits as well as receive a DVD of the final movie upon request. This is a very exciting and ambitious independent production by local filmmakers and we appreciate all the help and time and people are willing to donate. This is a great opportunity to be involved with the production, participate on set, and include as experience for a resume.
Please check out the movie's website at www.brassknuckleballad.com for more information about the cast, crew, story, and to watch the trailer.
I am producing a student short film titled "Man-drea" - a teenaged hula film, as an UHM creative media project and was wondering if you would be interested in audition for one of the roles?
If so, please contact at csalproductions@hotmail.com
Thank you,
Christy
