Aloha! My name is Jess Bryden. For the past decade I have worked in Los Angeles as an editor, director and visual effects supervisor on countless films and television productions. I moved to Oahu last year to pursue writing and directing a feature film called “Spirit of Fire”. The movie is a tragic Romeo and Juliet style romance set in South America during a civil war.
Having finished a year of writing and pre-production, I am shooting a low-budget trailer and several complete scenes to help facilitate the sale of the film, after which time I will be returning here to film the complete feature.
Here is a link to my demo reel if you would like to check out some of my previous work:

I am holding auditions on Monday, Aug 1st, from 9AM to 5PM at the YMCA in Honolulu at the following address:
1441 Pali Highway
Honolulu, 96813
The film shoot is scheduled for August 10th-14th.
I would be honored if you would come and read for the part of:
Naiya Cervantes – (20-35, Female) Naiya is young, beautiful, gentle, intelligent and caring. She is the female lead in the movie and the daughter of the dictator president, Achéro Cervantes. She is vehemently against the way her father runs the country and has made it her mission to make him see the error in his ways. When she meets Mateo, a member of the guerilla army that is fighting against her father, she falls in love and everything changes. Her connection to Mateo soon proves dangerous and she finds herself at the center of the country’s civil war.
I look forward to meeting you in person.
